HIV Congress 2010 is one of the unique CME on HIV medicine being regularly held every year with high quality scientific sessions. This year it was scheduled from January 8th – 10th in Mumbai. More than 500 participants across the globe attended this conference. APAIDSCON and PHMI submitted clinical and programmatic abstracts among which 14 abstracts were selected for the poster presentation. Dr Vijay Yeldandi, Secretary General – SHARE India was invited to chair the scientific session “Hematoncology” accompanied by Dr Ganesh Oruganti, Director-SHARE India APAIDSCON.
Dr Srinivasa Varma, Dr Prashanth and Dr Sreenivasan attended the conference to give poster presentations of the abstracts that were selected for the conference. The posters that were displayed at the conference were:

1. Situational analysis of HIV testing in private laboratories in Hyderabad .
2. Peer counsellors intervention - an inspirational effort in prevention of parent to child transmission program in Andhra Pradesh.
3. An intervention to enhance skills of physicians to manage HIV positive ante natal mothers from time of conception to 18 months after delivery   - A private medical college experience from Andhra Pradesh.
4. An intervention to strengthen the HIV clinical management skills of Physicians - A private medical college experience from Andhra Pradesh.
   
   Among the posters displayed “Situational analysis of HIV testing in private laboratories in Hyderabad” was selected as the best poster in this conference.
