As the community health needs escalate daily, PHMI feels a moral responsibility to provide equal and open access to information and knowledge on public health standards of care, common challenges and potential solutions. The Virtual Resource Centre is an initiative to collate and provide training courses online, free of charge to anyone, anywhere. As the trainers and mentors of PHMI faculty are located in different parts of the world, a virtual space helps them to interact with students easily. The virtual learning environment used by universities and colleges allow instructors to manage their courses and exchange information with students for a course that in most cases will last several weeks. The learners of long term training programmes are also geographically separated and need to submit take home assignments, interact with faculty and discuss queries which require a common platform that can be adequately addressed by Virtual Resource Centre |
